What oil Spec do i need to use

Cannot locate this information anywhere. What kind of engine oil is supposed to go in my 1995 Volvo Penta 4.3GS?

Please advise and as always thanks for the help,

I do not know the exact specification either, but I do know that you will not go wrong in using 30 Wt Dello 400 in that engine! We use the 15W-40 Dello in my sons Mercruiser 4.3!

IF you go to the link below, you can download an owners manual for your engine, and it will give you Volvo's recommendation.
In reallity, If you change it every 100 hours or YEARLY along with the filter as recommended, you can use about anything, and people do. But both Merc and Volvo, suggest a single weight oil if not using their BLENDED, 25W40. It's not a multiweight oil.

PS: We used Delo 400 30W where I worked when I was in Alaska, for about 15 years, in all our customers boats, and my own personal boats.

Ayuh,.....

And I run Mobil 1, in 15W-50 in My 4.3l.........

Exchange the word "Oil" for the word "Grease" in my signuture,........

Any Grease is Better,..... Than No Grease at All.......

just avoid any of the 0W... and 5W.... and you'll be fine. Like stated above you'll be changing it "soon" anyway.
