merc 90 beeping

Hi great site,I have a 90 merc outboard ,when i start the motor an alarm goes off beep beep beep etc .If I 'm correct that should mean oil trouble,but the oil is full and motor run like a charm.any ideas what my problem could be any help would be great thank-you. shaun

Sounds like the magnet has fell of the float, disconnect one of the two blue wires at the bottom of the oil tank if that stops it you need a new tank.
