serial L200TXRO Was out yesterday. I was out running around 3800 rpms. And the alarm went off. Long steady beep. I shut down immeditly, and opened the cowl on the engine. The engine was not hot. The only thing that looked wierd was the fuel filter which i took off cleaned and tightened. Started it back up and it ran fine. Is the alarm only when the temp gets too high? What elsae would cause it. I am running a 50:1 mixture.

no fuel alarms on that motor, there is a low battery alarm, all alarms on that motor were steady tone, the operator then has to observe the visual indicates on the tach and speedo.
best I remember all alarm conditions will also set it into RPM reduction as well.
1992 should read L200TXRQ not O for the US market.
when was the last full cooling system tune up? was the oil tank removed from the engine when the injection system was disabled ?

The Serial is Q not O sorry the plate is old and dirty. Brand new impeller and LU oil a month ago. She pees strong. I had the oil tank removed when the presicion mix system was removed too. So I premix in the tank now. There was no rpm reduction that accomponied the alarm, and as far as the battery warning. I have a Garmin 320c and it read 13.6 v when it happened I thought that might have been the problem too. The only gauge I have right now on the motor is a Tach. My garmin has a speedo and Volt meter built in. I am going to put a temp on it. I am correct that the temp gauge wire is pink not tan for this engine? Could it have been a shorted wire because I was out for about 15 mins when it happened. Then I ran for about 4 hours with no worries.
