How do i test my pulse pack????

i bought a 1968 johnson 100hp electramatic drive out board motor. model#V4TL-14B serial #J2906227. the motor ran great for about 20hrs than it just stopped. i pulled out one of the plugs and grounded it and there was no spark!!! how do i determine if the pack is bad? what other kind of tests should i do to any of the other parts? this is the first outboard ive owned, but i have some mech experience with autos. any help would be much appreciated. thanks so much

coil question???

coil question???

im looking for a coil for my 100hp 1968 johnson outboard motor. the one that is on the motor now has a crack. the problem is i cant find one that will match the original! it looks like a coil off an old truck only shorter in length. all the coils ive
looked at for that year and hp look completely different! they say that it will work with pulse packs. how do i know what to buy? should i just trust what they
say to buy on this site for that yr and hp?
