help with merc control box please?

could any one send me diagram on how to disassemble and reassemble a merc control box it has a big shift lever and a small throttle lever im sorry i do not know the model number of the contol unit but is old and very common i belive thanks any help would be apprciated . my email is as follows

Lets start with this. Is it a black or maybe white squarish box? Or while Oval type?
Either way, few screws and it comes apart. Throttle handle screw opposite side.
Just pay attention when ya pull it apart. Also check for old frayed wiring at the switch.
Boxes pop up on Ebay too..but some might have the same problem with the wiring. You can always run a new switch outside the box too..
