On a cars windshield, a person can use Rain-X (or something like it), to repel water. What can be used on a boat windshield safely ?? Polish/wax ??

Thanx

Re: Windshield question

i'm thinkin most newer boats use tempered glass in them. laminated (windshield, and new car side glass) or, tempered, whatever, if it works for a car, rainx or whatever it should work for a boat..... less ya got plexigas like i got...... don't know what to use on that..... i just clean it regularly with soap and water and ducky spot remover, or windex........

Back in the 40's, at drive in theaters, they rubbed a raw onion on the windshield.

Just like Rainex.

Thats like when your wipers bounce across the glass when it rains.Pour a Coca Cola on the windshield and let it set a minute....fixes the jerky wipers..;)

For plexi you can use a good automotive/marine wax. I've used it for my old runabout, and if it has those little spiderweb cracks it will polish those out and look like new as long as it isn't too bad.
