5hp carb diagram

Can any body tell where I can find a diagram for mid 50"s 5hp johnson, got this motor yesterday cant even find the list # on it anywhere to find out what year it is, all I know its green and the tank is on topp, the carb is off and in pieces need to know if I have all of it there and how it goes back together has spark, I would put a pic of it but not sure how to download here.Thanks for any help anyone can give Brian

look on the transom bracket above the transom clamps for a plate. or the freeze plug on the block for numbers.

I found # stamped on side of motor tn-28 1952-53, have any good sites where I can find carb pics with complete part listing?

Go over to www.aomci.org and post your question in the Ask A Member section. Those folks are really good about posting stuff from the repair manuals for the older outboards. I'll bet someone helps you right out.

It's hard to get parts for those engines. I have 3 of em sitting in the shed.

Thanks for the info guys, Ive had a 3,6,15 hp old timers and found parts pretty easy Im hoping the same for this one

There is a guy at aomci making reproduction primer cups. That and the float are about the only items normally needed. And a Mercury float will work.

Nope. I have 3's, 5.5's, 10's 18's etc and the parts for them are easy to get. The 5's and the 2.5's are not.
