Have you guys seen this one yet.....

Speedboat crashes into Scottish golf course

This is the driver's "story" as reported in the article, I think it will not hold water....!

"The skipper of the boat, which was called The Final Fling, was forced to abandon ship and jump into the water after it was sent off course by waves from another vessel."

He has time to jump but no time to kill the motor... Sounds fishy!!

So how many stroke penalty will it take to get it out of the bunker?:D

If I did that as a skipper (pardon the pun)I would not want to be found for hours also. It might give me time to sober up instead of doing time to sober up.;)

Or turn the wheel for that matter...

and... no kill-switch?

And who abandons ship when they are headed for a nice sandy beaching?

At Lake of the Ozarks, there is a peninsula green. Late one night, a guy in a rather large Sea Ray, along with two martini holders, left the adjacent cove. He gave the helm to one of the girls while he went down below. The girl held her course as the boat continued making a U turn. The boat hit the bank and landed on the green. Mr. big shot was shaken and decided to take off on foot. Both girls had minor injuries and stayed behind. Shortly after the crash, a water patrol boat came by. The girls gave-up the boat owner real quick, although he could be found just using the registration numbers. The police took him into custody while his wife was chewing him out. They couldn't get him on a BWI, but managed to pile-on other charges.

Don't know if divorce court came soon thereafter.

So being in a scottish bunker, to have the best chance of getting up and down I would suggest a "niblick" or a "baffing spoon". :)

Hate to bring this back to life, but isn't it possible that the report is incorrect, and that the operator was ejected because of the wake from the other boat? just sayin'...
