wont idle and only has 30%of power wide open

1 have a 1984 mercury 50 hp ,it wont idle unless throttle is fully open ,and when your running it only goes about 6 mph. last year it ran similar and the switch box was replaced 307$ .i didnt winterize it ,took it out yesterday and it is running terrible,only on 2 cylinders,any idea how ican fix this problem.

sounds like a fuel problem. to start, make sure you have fresh gas. and clean lines. if that does not fix it and because it was not properly stored for winter, get a manual and clean/rebuild carbs

Always test spark, Basic troubleshooting, check compression, check spark to prove that the mechanics and electrics are good, then move on to the fuel system.

only firing on 2 cylinder checked all the coils there all good,cdi box brand new also,could it be the trigger,
