Ok, I have a strange one here. I'm trying to get a 1981 E4.5hp running for my 89 year old neighbour. Last year it ran, was put away, fogged and stabilizer put in the fuel (but not run after it was put in). The engine is also known as being finicky.
It has around 90 psi on each plug. The spark is not fat and blue but still pretty strong and goes 1/4". The fuel is fresh. It will not run or even cough even why I spray premix right down the old throat. I'm at a loss as to why it wont even cough. It has compression, spark and fuel. The only thing really could be timing but it has not been touched since last year and the throttle opens when the plate starts turning.
All looks great but it wont run.
I hate modern engines and the stupid ignition! I blame it on that somehow!
Anyway, I'm open to ideas or suggestions? Thanks all.
