1940s-1950s Evinrude

I have acquired an Evinrude boat motor, don't know the year. I figure it is between 1940s and 1950s model. Has been spray painted. Needs a gas cap. All I have is the serial number - 7512-21302. Can anyone help with hsp or even year model.

1953 Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 hp. Good luck finding a gas cap. PM me your email and I'll send you the parts manual for it.

For the gas cap, try the free classifieds at www.aomci.org or one of the sites on their Links page. Might be pricey. They sometimes show up on schmebay.
