I have a 1996 Johnson 112 SPL. I want to hook up a water pressure gauge. Can you tell me where on the motor is a plug I can remove in order to do this? A picture would help greatly. Right now it is hooked to the "Tell Tale" line, which I do not think is the right place. I would think it should be in a head or?

Thanks

Re: Water pressure gauge hookup

Hooking it to the telltale outlet is fine. You will get a proper reading. If you decide to "tee" it so that the telltale still works, the gauge mayor may not read accurately. Depending on how much water the telltale bleeds off, it may lower the gauge reading. If you do hook up the telltale, make sure the telltale hose runs upward to the top of the engine, then downward to the cowling fitting. [You want the engine to properly fill with water before any water goes out the telltale...]
