Not a bad suggestion from a snot nosed kid. :p

I just may give that a try. I just identified a possible executable on a google search, pasted it into 'search' and the dang thing shut the computer down withing seconds of starting a search for that file.

This site uses an online scanner instead of having to install a program. http://www.eset.eu/online-scanner

It may not remove everything but it will usually get enough to where the other scanners will start working. I maintain about 150 PC's and it's been a life saver a couple of times.

[Edit] I didn't see your other post where you got rid of the virus until after I posted this. Glad you got everything runing OK again.

Yeah, everthing is still working swell.;) Thanks for the link anyway. I will tuck it away for further use.

EDIT: I dunno Kid, I just went to try it out and after hitting 'start' it came up with "Click here to install the following ActiveX control:~~~~" A request to download this was what gave me the infection. It has the exact same Security shield that the spyware that I had.

I don't think I'm gonna touch it.
