I have just been "unbanned", after a week. Was I wrong? Who knows, and I probably needed it. I'm a hard headed crazy SOB.
I just simply take no BS from anyone, and "flaunted the "Man"...for years.
A Nam Vet, (gun truck with a 50 Caliber, and a full tool box..the "wrench" was the MOS. Seen crap I don't want to even about. But thats my problem....40+years ago. But still have that "Spunk", and ain't giving up..remember...I'm on your side.
We are all in this together.
I need to stay off D/C, and I will. Stick to helping those on the Force/Merc/whatever...with a prob, as been there, done that. Had a crap load of people help me, and what goes around, comes around.
And been at it years. "Wrenched" since 1958..(8 years old..old man and Bro..gearheads), and 21 years on the job Journeyman Machinist,..(where they tossed ya a hunk of iron..need a new gear)
Retired at 44..(hit 58 yesterday by the way, FRIDAY THE 13TH!), own 4 boats, 8 motorcycles, at least 500,000 miles at month long by myself trips cross country on my HD bagger..(own 3 HD's, and a 165hp "Rocket", and my "Mini's, and scooters". ..total miles?..too damn many..
Rode with the Chicago "Outlaws"..20 years. Have a total of 25 motors here the "dogpatch" I keep on the "pipe".
Am I great?. NOPE...but I do know ya never pull that Phillips head side gearcase screw on a "Force"..to "drop the oil"..
And I cannot stop posting here about things "motor" And if I can help, I damn sure will. Freely.
Going to do an apology here ...
We have something here pretty unique..the Forums...and I got a little "hung up"..on D/C. With thoughts. Wrong place. Wrong "tude".
Need to stick the "mechanic" side here.
I think some good "wrenches" here, well, if I ruffled some feathers here..sometimes the crap from me has to "spout off"..my end.
Kinda been there, done that, fought for it, and it gets worse daily.
So, that said....no more D/C me..stick too the "fixing" stuff Forums, people with a problem.
I wanna scream..THT, at the "bilge"...and let it out..
Sometimes I hit the boiling point of "life"..and wanna "let it out".
Love ya all..mean it...but when I'm in a "mood"...uuuggghh.
Robby...(best I can do...carried a "tude" since Nam..hard to dump...)

We need our 'old school' guys more than ever. That kind of knowledge has to be shared.

I simply need to stick with the wrenching side of life, as that part I kinda got figured. Lifes little problems are just that..little..don't sweat'em, and never gonna figure them out anyway...and always replaced with new.
Now, I'm off to the Airshow in town. Might just dump $350 for a P51 front seat ride....love those Allisons up close and personal...(and anything that runs on "Nitro" too!)

Robby, I don't come here Dockside) often so I missed it and certainly sorry about your troubles with Don. I was raised if you believe your right stick by your thoughts but listen to the other sides augments. In this case I guess you were banned for a period of time and thats ever ones loose. You served your time, it should be over and you don't owe anyone a apology.

Welcome back Scaaty. Thank you for your service. Keeping the American dream viable and alive is more than a noble cause. Keeping it between the lines in DC is trying at best. If Moderating this joint was easy job any one could do it, that said some do it waaaaaay better than others..................but you already know that ..................And contrary to popular belief......................he who dies with the most post, doesn't win...................but you knew that already too.
