VOLVO 250a/sp, solex downdraft carbs

boat ran great in driveway all winter and 5 minutes from dock to morage spot yesterday.
took her out today for fishin and when i go to 3/4 throttle i noticed alot of smoke.
shut her down and saw about 1 liter of oil had come outa the aft carb.
(solex downdraft 151).

on inspection (after i removed flame arrestors) i noticed a crack in the upper housing of carb. it looked like the oil was coming from the air hose that goes to air intake cover that sits atop the 2 carbs, but i couldn't be sure.

what do i do now?
i will do a compression check,
but do i need a carb? and is this easily fixable?

I have a seloc manual. ( i know)

thanks DUG

Re: OIL from carb ??????

You probably have a cracked block allowing water to get into the oil. After the crankcase gets so full of water it spits water/oil mixture out the breather hoses into the carb.

drained2.5 liters of extra oil outa her,
im a $#%#% $%%^, dont know how i managed to put that much exrta in.

only started it at the dock besides all the smoking for the first few minutes it looked good. permatex worked as well i think,
will go out in the ocean soon and give her the real test.
