79' 115 johnny.

good compression (around 125 on all), new plugs, new fuel lines and fuel pump, carbs rebuilt, new stator, all 4 wires will jump a 7/16th in gap. Motor will run on muffs until it warms, then I lose the top two cylinders. I can spray premix in the lower carb and it will bog. I spray in top carb and no change. Same with pulling the plug wire off while it is running(I know you shouldn't do that), no/little change when you pull it off. Plugs are dark and wet when it dies. I don't know what else to do except start throwing more money at it. All this started after a decarb several weeks ago. Thanks for the help.

also, When I rebuilt the carbs I noticed that one carb had 2727 idle jets and the other had 2828... Is this a problem? The upper carb has the 2828. The motor has run fine with these jets.

Top two going out points to a carb problem, maybe the float is misadjusted or sticking and flooding out.

Just for the sake of testing though, you might want to swap one of the top coils to te bottom and see what happens.

I've adjusted the floats to be parallel to the base when upside down, that didn't work. I changed them to be a little bit high on the end, and it still shows wet plugs. is there a way to test the needle to see if it is seating properly? It is new.

It may just be time to toss in a rebuild kit. Do the floats have the clips for the float valves? (Only the newer kits include those)

Hold the carb upside down and blow in the fuel inlet. It should not let air in.

fixed the problem with a link and sinc. anyone know what idle jets should be in there? I have a set of 27 and a set of 28. Which one is right? Thanks
