towing a wellcraft excel se 23'?

will a 1997 suburban lt 5.7L v8 pull this boat?(wellcraft excel se 23') i believe the boat weighs around 4500lb.

No problem at all! I have a 26 SE excel and tow it with a 97 4x4 GMC Yukon and I definately know its behind me, but it does a decent job.

i'm towing the same size with a 1999 1500 Suburban. we do a 700 mile one way trip each year. never a problem.

Depending on the distances you plan on traveling, I would make sure it has a tranny cooler and if not, I would get one installed asap. I have a 97 GMC Sierra Z-71 which I ordered with the trailer towing package so yours may already have it including the engine oil cooler as well?.....Irv
