Age of props, enough info to tell??

Is there enough info here to tell the age of these props? Below is the reply I received from my inquirery into 2 SS props.........Irv

The # on the 1st prop is; 18 72760A4 23P. The second prop is slightly bigger and it says 14 by 19 RH. Came with a boat. Not sure of the age.

Nope....

Why do you need to know,..?? It's all about the Condition,... Not the Age....

Nope....

Why do you need to know,..?? It's all about the Condition,... Not the Age....

I don't believe that is necessarily true? I have been told on here by a couple of prop pro's that is not the case.
I tried an older quicksilver SS and I was told it was probably only slightly better than my new Aluminum prop, not enough of a difference to warrant the cost?
Like anything else, I am sure technology has come a long ways with regards to props, especially in the SS categories?.......Irv

It really depends on the particular prop you're talking about. It's very possible what you say is true. The opposite can be true too. The very first version of the Raker was the best performer. But if you're talikng about the same design then the condition is what matters.
