Hello I purchased a 2005 220 Select Sea Ray. It has a Mercruiser 350mag 300hp. The prop that is currently on the boat is a Quicksilver Stainless Steel model number 48-16316 19p We use this boat primarly for pulling wakeboard and tubes. The problem is we always have the boat loaded down with people. there are times if some of the big dads are in the back it won't even hardly plane out or won't until I make them move to the middle for a bit. Once it does it's fine but I really need something that will bust out of the hole much better. I've done some research and it looks like I will loose a little top end but I don't really care. Does anyone have any suggestions. This boat doesn't have any tabs installed either.

I think I would start with some tabs. They get you on plane easier stay on
plane with less power tame the ride and combat no wake speed wander.
I/Os are tail heavy and some do have hole shot problems.
The pros can help you select a prop to help your low end performance and handling.

Ok thanks. I found a prop shop that is letting me test out a prop. I'm going to try that first to see if I get a little better response. They believe that the 4 tab may do the trick. If not no harm I may have to go the tab route. Thanks
