not charging battery

I have a 1989 225 evinrude outboard.The battery is not beeing charged.I had to replace the flywheel because the magnet where brocken

I was thinking the same thing. That was more of a statement. "Im not charging", is a observation , "i replaced the magnets." Sounds like an attempted solution.

But I bet you made the post becuase its still not charging.

Do you have a certainty that your not charging, have you actually put a volt meter on the batter or the terminals and checked while the engine was running? That would be the first place to start.A System thats not cahrging will be around or below 12.5v while running.

Ok then......maybe Guntersie will be back at a later stage.....but I have a similar question.
My e50rnlic is not charging either - battery voltage is around 12.5v motor running.
Wiring looks good. Any ideas on the likely suspect part lads?????
