the choke shutters are located in the carbs but the linkage can be obseved on the stbd side.
may take two people unless you remove the airbox.
also test the thermosensor, it controls some timing advance when cold starting and can create issues on rare occasions.
no the 150 TXR is not a hard starting engine yours happens to be broke,out of adjustment or the wrong starting procedure is being used.
I did have a customer who would advance the throttle,turn on the key,push the key in but as he went to start mode he released the key.
took me a month to finally get him to use the correct procedure.
