Has anyone reworked a larger LoneStar. I have located a 1956 18 ft with a built in cabin top it is alunimium .it is about 60 miles from where I live before I head out to see it anything special I should pay attention to? The boat will be used in salt water. Years ago I repaired a very cheep and thin 14ft john boat for a friend,if the LoneStar is that thin I don't want to mess with it but thicker alunimium would be ok. Any help would be wonderfull.
Thanks
Ron

the lonestar is a fantastic, before it's time boat. check rivets, look for pitting in the aluminum. transoms are fairly easy. a good coat of Gluvit, to the inside should handle any small leaks.
