90 to 95 psi compression on all 4 , 7/16 in spark. Runs rough. Spray a little cleaner in each carb and the right side kicks down a little. Left side top engine revs up then back down to rough idle. Bottem left is same but not as bad. Posted this before a week ago. I tore down the carbs and cleaned them actually did this twice), the filter, the tank, anti syphon valve, and most of the lines. Thinking of switching the top 2 carbs to try to narrow down. If I cover the carb a bit with my fingers, it will idle up some but then theres extra fuel in the carb intake. What should I do or whats the problem?

Thank

Ryan

don't spray anything but premix fuel/oil into the carb, starter fluid, carb cleaner has no oil, and strips the lubrication off the moving parts.

did you remove and clean the low speed jets. have you check spark on all 4 with a spark tester.

Float height setting must be correct on each carb or idle quality suffers.

Please post the mod# of this engine. 1990 should be a 90 dg not 60 and the fuel systems are not the same. We need to know what you have for sure.

Mod # is J90PLEEB. Ser is G04625866. Roger, dont spray anything but mix in the carbs. Since I already did and wont again, does this identify anything? All 4 cylinders throw strong spark out to atleast 7/16 of an inch and I also cleaned and rotated spark plugs.

Carb cleanliness AND consistent float height on all carbs is critical to a smooth idle.

You may not have all the air bleed passages clear and the one side is still lean.

1999, adjust the idle air screws.
