starting problem help please

i tried to start my boat today and it wouldnt start, ive traced the problem to it being no spark i have a mercury 650 1975 have not started it for 2 years always run great in the past.turns over really good but will not start stumped thanks for any insight

Go to Engine FAQs, Matrix.

Do "Awakening a sleeping outboard".

If it still won't start, do "Outboard won't start".

Let us know what you find.
