trying to connect tach..2 wires from tach one to ground..1 to distb.?..does'nt the tach need a power source, or is it powerd from the distrb. the wiring diagram in the manual is of no help..I have a spare grey wire from the harnes..but with out stripping cover from distb. wire cant tell the color..should I run a new wire from distb..?

question 2..temp switch is on cly. # 3...a single wire...If i run that wire to a light, were does it its power from..I am not running a generator..dual batteries..any ideas...thanks..I dont want to burn any thing out...

Don't know about your tach power. The tach lead should be black from the side of the distributor through the harnes connector to the ignition switch.
The temp switch completes the circuit for the light. The wiring diagram shows the light (grey) and choke solenoid (red & white) connected to the ignition switch
