55 HP info

My model number is 5591

What kind of info can someone look up for me? I know it has Magnapower but other than that I'm clueless on the year and type of tachometer it uses. I bought the standard one at Cabela's and it doesn't show the right RPMs so apparently I need a different one.

If you are certain that it is Magna-power ignitionthen it most likely needs a 20 pole tachometer. Chrysler/Force available here at iboats or over at The Chrysler Crew.

I posted this on your other thread. Motor is 1969 and spark plugs try L82C champions.

After searching here I found a thread about a good tach "SS White" and ordered one from here:

Much cheaper than that $55 teleflex I bought here's to it working!
