Oops! Made me do it!!

I have been following the treads and projects here for a while now and have enjoyed it imensly. I love to see all the help that is given to us beginners and in some cases to the old timers! even the crazy oops! (killer project and documentation-my favorite soap opera!) has given me some confidence, so I have been inspired to try a project of my own. My father and I found a 1977 Thompson Sport fisherman type boat and plan on restoring it to as close to original as we can (maybe a few upgrades) i will keep posting my progress and i am sure i will have many many questions. Luckily with my jack of all trades master of none skills i am willing to tackle anything.

Should be picking it up this week.

Thanks to all you knowledgable posters, you have really helped out.
I apologize in advance for questions that are already in a thread some where, I really do my level best to search the forums for my information.

My suggestion would to be to make the following changes to the boat:

1) Lengthen the hull.

2) Add a hard top.

Should keep you out of trouble for a while....

don't forget about converting it to twin engines!!! I am sure there is sufficient space.

Don't forget to convert it to an open bow, and then into a Bass boat later on

I wanna see someone widen a boat. Make something with a 12 foot beam.

Heck with that. Put in some more freeboard! Cut the hull in half horizontally and add some gunwale extensions

Ok I finally got it home. Damned De mountable tires hard to find, but scrounged one home and drove 50 miles at 30 MPH, oh the things we do for out projects. Also managed to find a near new 302 to replace the powerplant.

www.shareaproject.com Start your own page there. If you need to make the file sizes smaller, then use MSPaint and resize them. Usually a 6mp file reduced by 50% will give you a decent sized picture and a smaller file size.

I am in the process of converting my 14' tri hull into a 34' deep v with quad 300's on it.
