I'm swapping my '88 4.3 OMC with a truck 4.3....on the truck motor, the oil pan has a windage tray....my current motor doesn't.....

Any differences in the oil pans on marine motors?

If the truck pan can be used, would it be beneficial to use it because of the windage tray?

Thanks!

Ayuh,...
Windage trays are a Good thing in a boat motor....
Bearing cap mounted, Or pan mounted...

Whether you can use the Oil Pan will be determined by your Dipstick location.....

It's in the pan....the dipstick on this pan runs into the side of the pan.....could I possible plug the hole? Or possible remove the tray and install it on my old pan?

As long as you can figure out a way to Drain the oil from the motor without the "Dipstick to the Bottom",..??

Sure,.. Why Not,..??
