On my 50 horse Force the flywheel magnet came unglued from flywheel. Its not cracked or broken in any place. I was going to glue it back on with epoxy. Will this work? Plus also what would be the best way to clamp it
back in place wile the glue drys. Thank for any input.

Re: Flywheel magnets

... hiya puddle,

i remember reading a little something on this from ol Force01. This may help.

Yes you can re glue the magnet in place, you will see a factory paint line where the magnet was originally placed you have to put it back in that location. We usually use lock tite quick gel about every half inch inside the fly wheel to hold the magnet in place. good luck, Bret

Thanks Azlakes i will give that a try and let you know how it turns out. I use Loctite all the time but never for something like this.

... awesome, well after reading a lot of what force01 had to say back in the day, he had these outboards conquered and worked them for a living.

best of luck on the open waters!
