I have a 2003 J55APRL which is basically a rope start 55Hp 20" commercial motor with a durajet propulsor that I bought at auction. Upon starting the motor it promptly spun the upper drive shaft bearing in the gear case. This was due to the fact that it had no water pump in place. My question is this: What standard lower units will bolt up to the above motor? What horsepower range can I use?
Obviously I need 55 Hp or greater. I need to know the ones that will fit. Or if someone can direct me to an interchange list if one exists.
