Hello,
Discovered a fuel supply problem on the '89 4.3L over the weekend. There was a check valve that connected the engine's fuel supply line to the fuel tank and some debris had built up and was causing the ball to stick. As we were disconnecting things, that valve broke.
Temporarily we just put a straight through 1/2" pipe fitting in it's place and, as expected the boat ran fine.

I'm just curious what the purpose of having a check valve there is.
Is it a marine specific part? I'm not finding a listing at dougrussell.

Ayuh,...

It's the Anti-siphon Valve,...
It keeps the Gas from filling the bilge if a line breaks....
