Are there any thoughts on problems I might encounter by moving my 21' Hydrasport with Johnson OB engine from salt water to fresh? What if wanted to go in the reverse?

None! It is a good thing for your rig. IMHO

still flush the motor whether fresh or salt.

Just make sure you change out all the stainless hardware for Zamac and chrome over plastic and you should be good to go.

change your zinc anodes to magnesium.
