the copper tube on top of my gas tank (vent) , the rubber hose connected to it is bigger then the copper tube.( is it supossed to be?) and should it be air tight? i know its a vent but not sure where the rubber hose goes from there its inside the hull, and also not sure if it matters if the connection is air tight since its a vent .........basicly i had a hole in my gas tank i repaired put the tank back in and when i went to connect the hose to the copper tube i twisted it a little and now it swivels, the thing is just welded in there so/? anyway im just tring to give as much info so this can be a one answer thread, thank you in advanced!

It should be air tight and not move. When you accelerate it pushes all the fuel back and it will leak there.Allowing gas to fill the bildge. Then BOOM!!!(maybe) Dangerous situation always!! Jerry
