I recently have had a problem with my engine wanted to die upon load. I put boat in water prime the new bulb which goes through a new fuel line and new water seperator. Then stalls. Bulb goes soft prime again and have another person turn engine over. Starts keep priming bulb engine runs fine for a while on plane then dies. Vicious cycle. Could it be my VTS??? Any help would be appreciated. Plus, yes here in florida with ethanol.

Look for leaks in the fuel line.

Did you have this problem before replacing fuel line and prime bulb etc? If not sounds like you are sucking in air (you can suck air in and not show a fuel leak)

Yes thats why all was replaced. Thought we had a air leak upon changing found inside of fuel line had seperated and appeared to be causing an obstruction. Thanks for the reply.

you can thank the ethanol for the disentegrating fuel line...check the position of the primer bulb - the arrow that points towards the motor needs to be level or even pointed up a little(at the motor end) for the check valves in the primer bulb to work properly...if all else fails - separate the boat from the motor by running on a 6 gallon portable tank

Thanks for the reply. I have the mechanic taking it to repair it going to the keys in 2 weeks can't take a chance on the boat breaking down would really mess up my trip if you know what I mean. Spending 2 weeks there diving and fishing need it working properly. Thank you all for the help.
