Re: how to rebuild

Start with a sierra kit 18-7806. This can be had from a NAPA or here at Iboats. Just replace the diaphram and the gasket. There are three small gaskets in the kit that are suppose to be for the check valves in the pump and each kit I have gotten they were too big to use. When you have the pump apart visually inspect each of the check valves and verify they work and you dont see problems with them. The pump is easy to do. Just remove from boat remove six screws take old diaphram out and put in new and gasket and reverse procedure. Cant help with the speedometer but for cheap you can get a GPS that will give you more accurate info then a speedo.

Decarb is using a solvent with gasoline to help remove the carbon deposits in your motor. The procedures for doing this are outlined in the FAQ forums here at Iboats. Click HERE for going directly to Decarb a motor.
