How do I remove top cowling Mercury 115

I am new to boating and did not get an owner's manual (which I will be purchasing soon). I have a Mercury 115 4 stroke outboard. I want to check the oil but can't seem to remove the top cowling. There is a lever which I twist in the front and there is another lever which I pulled out in the back but the top does not seem to want to come up. The boat is on a dock and I am doing it from on the back of the boat so I can't really see all around if there are other levers. Any trick I should know? Sorry for such a dumb question but I'm learning. Thanks for the help.

The front lever need to be fully pulled towards the front, and the back clip needs to be turned almost a full turn before it releases.

the cowling itself is very snug fitting on mine, and I really had to give it a good pull the first time to take it off... a lot easier when the boat is on dry land!
