I have a 218 Checkmate with the 6.2 mpi in it. I ran out of gas last week and now am having issues starting it. I was told there should be some sort of a fuel reset switch that flips when you run out right? I looked but could not find it. i pushed both red circuit breaker buttons but it didnt do anything, are these the switches referred to? After I was done looking I tried turning the key a bunch of time and eventually it started to crank. If its cranking does that mean the switch was reset or does it do this regardless? Once It started to crank I advanced throttled it and tried to get it to turn over in about 3 different 8 second intervals but gas wasn't getting to it. At the end of the last one I heard a click and the power was gone. now when the key is on the radio and gauges have almost no power (can hear radio struggling a bit, depthfinder backlight is very dim, and gauge needles don't move.) The trim and hydrolic hatch lift still work strong so it obviously isn't the battery. Did I screw the starter? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks,
Jake
