I have a 1988 Sea Ray Seville (Outboard version), and would like to remove the rubber rub strip from the hull to polish the boat and re-paint the accent stripes. How is it held on?? It looks like it may be a combination of glue and threaded studs that are molded into the rubber. Is this right. If so, when I go to put it back, what type of glue should I use to re-attach it?

Thanks

most have a center insert that comes out, then there are screws or rivets that hold the base on.

Thanks. Until you said that I thought it was one solid piece of rubber. I just went out and looked and sure enough it has a plastic strip the same color running down the middle. Thanks again.
