I fill from the top, just to the upper right of the shift mechanism. Make a funnel arangement similar to the picture and fill with the drive down.
Takes almost 3 quarts.
Be sure to use a new gasket on the plug.
Thanks for helping my buddy out this morning Don. I wasn't at home to get him the information (I wasn't sure on the DPE drive) so I let him log in under my screen name to ask his question.
