SeaFoam is an older product consisting of Pale Oil,Isopropyl Alcohol and Naphtha, that is known to remove carbon from the firing chambers of combustion engines. Like many who have followed Captain Dunkelberger's instructions, the product has produced satisfactory results for me. I prefer Carbon Guard as a maintenance product, or BRP XD-50 which contains a carbon treatment.

BRP recommends a decarbon treatment as part of annual maintenance in their chart: http://www.evinrude.com/NR/rdonlyre...55-6BC1C69789FB/0/em_maintenance_schedule.pdf
