Thanks on alerts to Mods?

Are there ever any thanks or comments sent to the "alerter" on inappropriate posts? I don't want to hit the alert button in a frenzy, but if I see a "bad" post I'll hit the alert button. Is there ever feedback on this action?
Really, I'm just trying to help the Mods. Might get some brownie points.

We mods are very grateful for reports of inappropriate posts. It gets those posts removed quickly.

I have thought about posting thanks to the reporter, but decided that would tell the person who posted inappropriately who had turned him/her in. That could have some unpleasant repercussions.

So, if you have reported a bad post. . .thanks.

i try to thank when i get a report, but time does factor into the equation.

If I spot one I'll PM a couple of the mods a link..............I'll generally contact the Mods that are on line at the time..........

if you clik the red and white triangle, top left of the post, it does this automatically, and is suppose to go to all mods. this is the way we prefer it.

Mods -I think what they would like , is a couple extra points added to their post numbers I'll endorse that "reward" if it cuts down on shameless post padding

the mods need all the help they can get....they cannot be every where (even tho they are)

rarely ....very rarely is it a "rat out button".....(unless the op is a SPAMMER

My screen is messed up then.
On mine it is in the upper right hand corner of the thread/reply.
