need manual prime

I Have A 1985 Merc 75 Hp. Will Not Start Without A Manual Prime(spraying Fuel Direcly Into Carbs) Then It Starts Instantly.starts And Runs Great After That, Then If Off For Awhile It Needs A Manual Prime To Restart.....any Clues To Why?????

Check the primer solinoid for voltage, if it has 12v then pull the input hose from the carb/fuel line if there is fuel, hook it back up and pull the output line hit the switch and if the is no fuel its the primer solinoid, if there is check for a crimped line.
