Need help deciding which boat to choose from...a 97 SeaRay 280 Bow Rider or a 2005 SeaRay 240 Sundeck?

Yes, I know the hours are less on the new one, 8 years younger, etc. but which would you guys pick as far as ride quality?

2005 SeaRay 240 Sundeck is a great combo.

How about ride quality though...not really worried about speed--40mph is plenty for me

How does it take the water compared to each other?

Sea trial, sea trial, sea trial. You will have to decide which one has the ride quality and handling that suits your needs and the area in which you wish to boat.

OK It's going to be in the Chesapeake Bay...but wakes 2-3 are not uncommon and i get smacked around a little on my 240 sundancer

IMHO you need 20 degrees of deadrise at the transom for a smooth ride with less than 26 ft. and 40 MPH . . .
