150 Yamaha versus 225 Suzuiki

2001 150 Yamaha on 19ft boat (rig weighs 2700 lb)

2003 225 Suzuiki on 20 ft boat (rig weighs 3700lbs)

How much more gas is the Suzuiki likely to use?

As a standalone question - all else being equal which engine would you prefer.

Both are 2 stroke.

DFI or carbed?

Too many unknowns to comment on differences in fuel usage, but generally heavier boats use more fuel to do the same thing.

Hull shape and condition, rigging details and operator skill and restraint make a lot of difference.
