NEED TO NOW 1970 25 HP Evinrude

Hi, great broad.I just bought a 1970 14 ft alum-weld with a Evinrude 25 hp
the boat and motor sat in storge since 1974. everything is like new,I mean like new!
I replaced the fuel pump and the prop ( it sliped at 1/2 power)and all is well.
I ran 6 gal form fuel arould the lake. Great!
But would like to know if this motor has a thermostat, if so were

The "great broad" was out playing tennis, but I will try to help.

The thermostat is under a cover with three screws at the top of the cylinder head.

sorry I forgot I did put a new water pump impeller in it went I first got it home.
one more Q what temp should it have?

The 378065 thermostat is 143 degrees F.

You should be able two keep your fingers on the cylinder head for a full three count anytime the engine is running.

The properly functioning thermostat will open and allow water to flow out of the cooling circuit whenever the cylinder head's water reaches 143 degrees +/-.
