When the last time the impeller in the outdrive was replaced?
Thermostat okay? Do you have a service manual for it that you can check a list of probable bad spots for overheating?
Get whatever is causing it fixed. I just blew an inlet water hose and spun my crankshaft bearings which means I'm flipping engines, again.
