jet pump conversion

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried mounting a jetski pump on the rear of their alluminum boat and mounting a air cooled engine to it, and if so, how did it work?

It has been done. I think there was a long thread on the subject here last year or so. Search here for jet jon boat.

There's also some information on the web. A google search for jet jon boat will pull some sites up, along with some youtube videos of ones already done.

I did look. A lot of information there, looks like more trouble than it's worth

Unless you went with an old VW engine I don't know where you'd find an air cooled engine of the HP required to make a PWC pump work correctly.
