fishfinder problem

Just perchased a 28' silverton, the problem is the fish finder is a raytheon . no longer being manufactured . the light on the screen suddenly went black. but u can see the unit moving in the backround. Is there a way to reset the unit ? I have no paperwork with it.It is a raytheon L265

It seems to give you the opprotunity to download the manual. If this has an LCD display the Backlight could have gone out.
