thanks I appreciate it and will call them and look into it.. however I know they still make the 350 cube 260hp engine and I would assume this is ia newest version of the 260hp mercruiser 350 v8 engine.

Not even close to the newest edition of a SBC 350. You still have flat lifters, and it gets better from there.

I know exactly what I have. I was saying the part number he gave is probably for some of the newer 350's....and isn't the exact decal I'm wanting.

The part number you have been given, 37-13723-12, is for exactly what you want, not for anything newer or older... your 1984, 350cu in, 260hp, V8 Mercruiser.....

And if you still don't trust us, look at the attachment.. It includes the year, part number and even a picture of your decal...

I'm not! I will contact them but I honestly doubt thats it because they don't make it anymore..therefore all of the ones they do make probably fall under that part number......justa guess tho but like I said I will def. call them and maybe get them to take a picture of it bc I doubt thats it.

Also I think this is the most helpful forum I've EVER been involved in.....and I have many years of corvette investigation and restoration along with my other projects and this forum and members are awesome!

I just got a little miffed that someone didn't read the posts then butts in with a know it all attitude telling me I don't know about my engine etc.. when I was talking about the dang decal..

That part number is for the decale you have. Merc doesn't just change throw a different part at a number when it goes NLA, that would be foolish.
If you can find that part number, it WILL be the right part.
You guys have to stop making up your own rules for things.

plus i'm an old fart i'm 58 and not good on computers so it takes me a long time going from site to site etc.

Seeing that one is $56 and one is $28 I'll go with the $28 one.

one ? though, I noticed that this site I'll list below and the drawing you listed thats on a CD say they have the same number of quanity in the "Qty Req. " field...what's up with that? so that Qty Req. field isn't what they place really has in stock?

That is the quantity used for each package (engine)... You require one decal...
Qty Req=1.

You'll see from that same drawing that the Qty Req for the hose is 2 and the hose clamp is 4....

Dang my luck.. the site I ordered from that said they had one in stock sent me a email said they're out of stock.

I jsut called the dougrussell place they said they sold their last one 4 months ago..

u guys had me so close! I'm gonna keep looking though
