I think now that the "Safe" has been found, it "Safe" to say that “Cracking the Case” couldn't have been accomplished without the help of the local "Fishing Community". According to the police reports, the "Safe" had been opened by professional “Safe Crackers”, or someone with "Inside Connections". It all looks a little "Fishy" to me.

never heard of catching a safe before, but i have to ask, how did you know it was a safe before pulling it out? are you the one who dumped it?

i mean, it would obviously be too heavy to move with the line. at this point, i (and i'm sure most others) would assume it was a log or rock and not be tempted to dive in to see what it was

I don't think I'd eat one, but I'd guess that if you caught one in season it would be rewarding.

Near my fishing spot is a sewage waste treatment plant. I've caught several safes on my downrigger cables mind you they were latex. yuck.
